Utica, NY (05/12/2015) - Assemblyman Anthony Brindisi will speak during an event celebrating Utica College’s graduating student teachers on Thursday, May 14 at 5:30 p.m. in the Ellen Knower Clarke Lounge, Strebel Student Center, on the campus of Utica College.

An outspoken advocate for education at all levels, Brindisi will discuss his outlook on public education in New York State, as well as his decision to vote against recent proposed education reforms. A brief question and answer session will also take place. As a parent of school-aged children and a former school board member, Brindisi will share his unique perspective on education with UC’s future educators.

Supported by an exceptional faculty of seasoned professional teachers and administrators, Utica College’s program in education seeks to prepare students for public education in the 21st century. UC’s program focuses strongly on both methodology and practical application, with opportunities for student teaching and other real-world education experiences.
