UC Presents "Metamorphoses"
Theatre Department Production this Weekend

Utica, NY (10/31/2011) - The stakes can’t get any higher - life, death and ultimately the power of love - are all on the line.Revisit the tales of Midas, Narcissus, Aphrodite and Apollo with members of the Utica College Theatre Department as they present Ovid’s Metamorphoses. Based on Greek and Roman tales of their gods, the play was authored by Mary Zimmerman, who reimagined the myths written by the Roman poet Ovid.
Metamorphoses, presented by the Utica College Department of Performing and Fine Arts, is directed by Jackie Osterman, adjunct professor of theatre. General admission is $4 per person. Tickets are available at the door. The play is open to the public.
Performances are Thursday, Nov. 3 through Saturday, Nov. 5, at 8 p.m., closing with a special matinee performance on Sunday, Nov. 6 at 2 p.m.
Seventeen students from a variety of disciplines make up the cast of Metamorphoses. Students can receive credit for participating in the play, but many choose to audition and participate for the love of the theatre.
