Utica City School District Students, Educators to Exhibit in Barrett Gallery
15th Annual Art Exhibit Opens Sunday

Utica, NY (01/25/2011) - On Jan. 25, the Edith Langley Barrett Fine Art Gallery at Utica College will open its doors to showcase the art of students and educators of the Utica City School District at the 15th annual exhibit.Both students and educators will present their pieces to the public at the opening reception this Sunday (Jan. 25) from 1 to 4 p.m. A local favorite, the exhibit includes original works of art created by students in kindergarten through 12th grade and teachers throughout the UCSD.
Artists employ various media including photography, oil painting, ceramics, sculpture, watercolor, crayon drawing, finger-painting, collage, pencil drawing and more.
There will be craft activities available for the young and young at heart. In addition, Proctor High School’s orchestral group, the Moose Ensemble, will add performing arts to the event with music.
The exhibit is free and open to the public Monday through Friday from 1 to 5 p.m. and Saturday noon to 3 p.m. until Feb. 25.
