Lunch Hour Series to Feature UC Choir

Performance to include classical, upbeat and show tunes

Utica, NY (11/03/2010) -  The Professor Harry F. and Mary Ruth Jackson Lunch Hour Series at Utica College will continue on Wednesday, Nov. 17 with a special performance from the Utica College Choir.

The UC choir will perform a variety of songs and will present a mixture of genres that includes classical, upbeat and show songs. The David Kolb directed chorale will entertain the college community and the public at 12:30 p.m. in the Library Concourse.

The Jackson Lunch Hour Series, instituted in 1979, presents a series of musical and literary programs each semester. All performances are free of charge and are open to students, faculty, staff, and the public. Sponsored by the Utica College Social Cultural Committee, programs begin at 12:30 p.m. and are held in the Library Concourse (musical performances) or in Macfarlane Auditorium, Deperno Hall (literary readings).

Literary programs are made possible with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts, a State Agency.
