Utica, NY (01/28/2010) - Utica College’s career services office has organized its annual Spring Volunteer Fair; the event will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 3 from 3 to 4 p.m. in the Library Concourse.Representatives from as many as 30 local non-profit organizations are slated to participate, including Compeer of the Mohawk Valley, the American Red Cross, the Boys and Girls Club of the Mohawk Valley, and the Masonic Care Community.
These organizations will be on campus to meet students and answer their questions about helping the local community and gaining experience in their field of interest. They will also help coordinate opportunities in human and health services, management, public relations, and more.
“Volunteering is a great way to get involved in the community, gain experience, build your resume, or just meet new people,” said Halina Lotyczewski, assistant director of career services.
The event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact UC career services at (315) 792-3087.
