Rebovich presents at DHS transition workshop

Utica, NY (12/02/2009) - Donald Rebovich, Ph.D., executive director of the Center for Identity Management and Information Protection (CIMIP) of Utica College, presented at a workshop hosted by the Department of Homeland (DHS) Security University Programs Dec. 1-2 at the Naval War College Decision Support Center in Newport, R.I. The purpose of the two-day event was to develop a plan to transition the Department of Homeland Security University Centers of Excellence research into two key organizations, the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center and the Office of Intelligence and Analysis.Participants included representatives from the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC), DHS Center for Advanced Data Analysis, as well as academic representatives from the University of Maryland CapWIN (Capital Wireless Information Net) and Rutgers University DIMACS (Center for Discrete Mathematics and Computer Science). Discussions included DHS Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers and the State Fusion Centers.
Rebovich’s presentation highlighted past and present research projects conducted by CIMIP, with descriptions of facts and findings.
