UC Students Pay Tribute to Black History
Talk, Music Culminate Month's Events

Utica, NY (02/25/2008) - Members of Utica College’s Black Student Union (BSU) have celebrated Black History Month with a myriad of student events throughout the month. Now, the BSU and Socio-Cultural Committee are inviting students and the local community to join them in the first annual “Tribute to Black History.”The event will be held in the Library Concourse on Friday (Feb. 29) from 7 to 10 p.m. The tribute includes a talk by Paul Young, assistant professor of history, as well as music and light refreshments. Admission $2 for non-students, and is free for UC students.

About the Black Student Union (BSU) – The Black Student Union is an organization whose purpose is to promote awareness of African-American culture. The organization's function is to help establish diversity and unity throughout the Utica College campus as well as the community by holding both social and educational events.
