Alcohol Awareness Week at UC

Utica, NY (10/13/2006) - The Utica College Office of Residence Life, in collaboration with the Office of Academic Support Services, will host a weeklong series of alcohol awareness events in recognition of National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week through Oct. 20.Utica College students, faculty and staff are invited to attend events including Katie’s Story presented by Bob Almeter on Monday, Oct. 16 at 8 p.m. Almeter speaks on the importance of alcohol awareness and the fatal outcome that may occur when combining alcohol consumption and driving. This presentation includes the Friends exhibit featuring the background, belongings, and story of four students who were killed in a car accident involving alcohol..
Students will also be invited to play Alcohol Jeopardy and attend a night of “mock tails,” karaoke, and mini golf throughout the week. The events are designed to promote fun for all without alcohol.
