SCHOLARSHIPS

Since its founding, the Raymond Simon Institute (RSI) has awarded cash and scholarships to PRJ students who have demonstrated excellence in the field. The annual awards recognize academic excellence and help pay for college expenses.

Each spring, the RSI and PRJ program represent these awards at a special breakfast and ceremony. The RSI is funded by generous donations from PRJ alumni, and many of the cash awards and scholarships are established in their names.

Scholarships:
  • Ben and Gene Comora Scholarship,
  • John Behrens Journalism Scholarship
  • Raymond Simon Scholarship
Awards:
  • The George E. Jones '60 Outstanding PRJ Student awards to students in each of the four classes
  • The Owen Comora '53 Tangerine award to the most valuable staff member of the college newspaper
  • The Fred and Corinne Grates/RSI Achievement Award
  • The Flaherty Creativity Award
  • The David D'Alessandro '72 summer internship awards, granted to help cover the expenses of student internships
The RSI also provides funding for student and faculty trips and activities.
