ALUMNI

With the help of alumni, students in Utica College's PRJ program are able to network and gain insight into the career path they wish to pursue. Many of the college's more than 1,000 alumni hire Utica College PRJ graduates and provide opportunities for internships at international public relations firms such as Ketchum and Burson Marsteller; major newspapers like The Trenton Times and The Philadelphia Inquirer; and many other local, regional, and national companies and organizations. Others are hosts to UC students during club visits to cities such as New York, Philadelphia and Boston.

Networking is not the only assistance alumni provide to Utica College students. Many also contribute to the Raymond Simon Institute (RSI), which provides annual scholarships and monetary awards to deserving PRJ students. Alumni contributions to the RSI also make it possible for PRJ students to attend the national PRSSA (Public Relations Student Society of America) conference and to pay dues to national organizations like PRSSA and the Society for Collegiate Journalists (SCJ). Contributions from alumni also help fund the PRJ alumni directory as well as the PRJ alumni newsletter.
