Biography

Laurence Pacilio received his photographic education at Syracuse University’s Newhouse School of Public Communications and then went on to studies at the M.I.T. Creative Photography Lab.

His career as a working photojournalist began in the early 1970’s continuing until his employment began at Utica College in 2000, from where he recently retired as Director of Photography.

Over the course of his career in photojournalism Pacilio worked both nationally and internationally. His photographs have been published in many leading publications, both in the United States and in Europe.

Additionally, he has widely exhibited his work in museums and galleries, both in one person and group exhibitions.
