Advice to StudentsTrust the process! Researching and applying to college is an exciting time in your life. Make sure to enjoy it and explore all of your options before making a decision. Reach out to administrators and faculty for the institutions and programs you will be applying to and ask questions. Visit the campus and get a feel for what the environment is like! Once you make a decision to attend the college that will help you succeed in your academic and career goals, find out how to get involved on campus. Utica College offers so many opportunities for students to get involved on campus, whether through clubs and organizations, athletics, cultural events, or community engagement, these types of experiences will be some of the best memories you'll make and introduce you to life-long friends.
Advice to ParentsMake sure your child understands all of their options when it comes to college. The process can be a bit overwhelming at times for a student, but support them with whatever you can to help out! Encourage them to visit the campuses they apply to and show them around the surrounding city or town. This will give you a chance to see their excitement and get a feel for the place they will be attending. Most importantly, keep an open mind and help support them on their path to success!
