ISEF Finalist*
While the Utica University Regional Fair does NOT require COVID vaccinations for participation at the regional level, all ISEF attendees must be fully vaccinated to attend ISEF.

The Utica University Regional Science Fair supports our Senior Level Grand Champion to compete in the 2023 Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF), which will be held as an in-person event in Dallas, TX from May 13-19. No virtual options are available.

The exact ISEF COVID-19 policy is still being determined. However, attendees to ISEF must be fully vaccinated. Vaccines must be FDA or US Department of State approved, and the last dose in the series must have been received no later than 2 weeks prior to the start of ISEF. Currently, boosters are not required, but that is subject to change. Updates and information on this policy can be found at: https://www.societyforscience.org/isef/

Our Senior Level Grand Champion will be announced at the Awards Ceremony on Saturday, April 1, 2023. ISEF begins on May 13, 2023 and the vaccination series must be completed no later than 2 weeks prior to the start of ISEF. Therefore, students and chaperones who are not yet fully vaccinated and who anticipate being a possible ISEF finalist need to review the vaccination schedules and plan accordingly if they want to be eligible to participate in ISEF.

Additional details about the international fair requirements and covered expenses will be shared with our winner after awards are announced.
