Annnouncement: Human Rights Syllabi Web Site

Annnouncement: Human Rights Syllabi Web Site

Announcement

Dear Human Rights Educators:

The American Bar Association (ABA) Section of International Law, in its Human Rights Committee e-Brief of April 23, 2007, sent the following announcement:

Human Rights Syllabi

Featured Web site

The Human Rights Syllabi Web site is a collection of human rights syllabi designed for the college and university instructor. It is a product of the Amnesty International USA (AIUSA) Educators Network, in conjunction with the Interdisciplinary Field Studies major at the University of California at Berkeley. This collection of over 100 syllabi brings together syllabi used in human rights courses currently or recently offered in colleges and universities in institutions of higher education in the U.S. and in other countries.

This Syllabi listing encourages those teaching college-level human rights to send me their syllabus, which I pass on to the U. California Berkeley webmaster for posting. Syllabi are forwarded to ritam@berkeley.edu.

To learn more about the Human Rights Syllabi visit:

The availability of these Human Rights Syllabi on the Internet is increasing by the day. We ask that you help extend the reach of this teaching resource by:

1) forwarding the ABA announcement to colleagues on your email list;
2) using this message as a reminder to send in your Human Rights Syllabus.

Thank you very much.

Sincerely,
Rita Maran
