- The Occupational Therapy program offers direct entry to the graduate program, with Utica students passing the certification exam at 95% - 100% over the last 5 years.
- Utica's Nursing laboratory features a fully equipped reproduction of a modern hospital with nursing station, bedside monitoring, respiration technology, and more.
- Health Studies students choose from a variety of experiential learning opportunities with community organizations that help Utica graduates stand out in the job market.
- Physical Therapy offers direct entry to the graduate program with Utica students passing the licensure exam at 100% and a 100% employment rate 6 months after licensure.
Psychology or Psychology-Child Life
For people interested in the complex connection between the brain and human behavior.
- Psychology students choose from two degree options: the B.S. for students interested in research or clinical work, and the B.A. for students interested in education.
- Psychology-Child Life focuses on children from birth to 18 months old, and prepares students for careers in social work and education. PCL students complete 40 hours of fieldwork.
Therapeutic Recreation or Wellness & Adventure Education
Perfect for those who like to stay active, and don't want a career that involves sitting behind a desk all day.
- Utica's Therapeutic Recreation program is one of the few bachelor's programs in the country. Students participate in over 560 hours of internship experience.
- Wellness & Adventure prepares students for a variety of careers in personal fitness, corporate wellness, or physical education.
Biology, Biochemistry, & Chemistry
For those interested in exploring life as the molecular level, and curious about all living things. Perfect for a variety of careers including research, education, and healthcare.
- In the past 5 years, 23 Utica Biology students presented research at national conferences, and faculty published 14 research articles with 8 student co-authors.
- Utica's Biochemistry program is cutting edge. Utica is 1 of 3 schools in the country to use cutting-edge, professional medicinal pharmaceutical software - the same used by industry leaders.
- Utica's Chemistry program is certified by the American Chemical Society (ACS), and the major is designed to meet the needs of students whose principal interest is in chemistry, biochemistry, or medicine.
Dietetics and Nutrition
Great for those who want to help people live better, healthier lives by understanding how nutrients interact with the human body.
- Dietetics & Nutrition students complete a one-year supervised practice or internship before taking the national certification exam to become a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist.
- Nutrition students and faculty joined the Food Recovery Network (FRN), the largest student movement fighting food waste and hunger in America in which surplus food is given to hunger fighting partner agencies.
