Why Utica University

Utica University's major in nursing offers a very rigorous program of foundational study, practical training, and clinical experience in the discipline, complemented by comprehensive learning in the liberal arts. Nursing students have access to Utica's state-of-the-art Albert and Gloria Shaheen Nursing Laboratory, which features a fully equipped hospital ward and advanced learning technologies. Students work closely with exceptionally accomplished faculty.

What You'll Learn

The nursing program features a variety of study options:

  • Traditional Bachelor of Science (B.S.) Campus-Based Nursing Program
    This option is a traditional four-year undergraduate program.
  • B.S. Nursing (hybrid)
    Through a combination of online curriculum and lab / practical work on our Florida campuses, the hybrid Nursing program at Utica University allows you to earn a B.S. in Nursing on your schedule, helping you develop the skills to provide quality care to your patients and achieve success in this highly rewarding profession.
  • Online RN to BSN Program
    Utica also offers an online RN to BSN program for licensed nurses who have completed an associates degree program and are seeking a higher credential.
  • Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN)
    Utica University offers an accelerated (16 month) bachelor of science in nursing program for people who have prior non-nursing education.The program blends online courses with hands-on lab simulations and clinical rotations, and is offered through our learning sites in Syracuse, NY,  St. Petersburg, Florida, and Miramar, Florida.
  • Graduate Nursing Programs (M.S.)
    Advance your nursing education online with a selection of comprehensive CCNE- accredited nursing programs from Utica University.
  • M.S. Family Nurse Practitioner
    Become your patients' first point of contact for all their health care needs with the CCNE- accredited online Master of Science Family Nurse Practitioner program.
  • M.S. Nursing Education
    Take the lead in teaching nursing excellence to others with Utica University's CCNE- accredited online Master of Science in Nursing Education program.
