If you want to support Utica University, here is how to make a gift.

CASH / CHECK / CREDIT CARD

There are three easy ways to make a gift of cash, check, or credit:

  • Online: Use our secure Web form, 24 hours a day.

    Make a Gift Now
  • By Phone: Call us toll-free at 1-800-456-8278, Mon. - Fri., 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (Eastern U.S. Time)
  • By Mail: Please mail your gifts to:

    Office of Advancement
    Utica University
    1600 Burrstone Road
    Utica, NY 13502

The University accepts checks from U.S. and international banks as well as American Express, Discover, MasterCard, and Visa. Tax receipts for gifts of cash, check, or credit card are issued within 48 hours of receipt.

STOCK AND SECURITIES

Gifts of stock afford donors an opportunity to avoid capital gains taxes by transferring ownership of personally held stock to Utica University.  Since Utica is in the business of educating students, all stock gifts are liquidated upon receipt.

Gifts of stock receive a tax-receipt that is generated usually within 24 hours of the stock sale. The value of the stock gift is based on the average of the high and low on the date of sale.

GIFTS IN KIND

Gifts in kind are gifts of real or tangible property such as equipment, materials, company products, land or inventory. These gifts add to the value of a Utica University education by strengthening our programs and improving our facilities, so that we can provide the best possible educational experience to our students.

Past gifts in kind have included the bronze bell in Bell Hall, a 40-foot yacht, sculptures, paintings, computers, and software.

MATCHING GIFTS

Matching gifts provide a way for donors to double their dollars and have an even greater impact on students at Utica University. Many corporations will match the gifts of current or retired employees as well as spouses of employees and people holding positions on their board of directors.

Here's how it works:

  1. Obtain a matching gift form from your employer.
  2. Complete your portion of the matching gift form.
  3. Mail your gift and the matching gift form to Utica University.

We will do the rest!

To find out if your company matches gifts, check with your human resources office or contact Kim Suriano at (315) 792-3346 or kasurian@utica.edu.

SUPPORTING UTICA'S PIONEER PERSISTENCE FUND

For many Utica University students, unforeseen expenses can make the difference between earning a Utica degree and permanently withdrawing. The Pioneer Persistence Fund provides one-time financial assistance to undergraduate students experiencing unforeseen financial hardships – including but not limited to medical or family emergencies, food insecurities, or unanticipated educational costs (books, lab supplies, appropriate attire or travel/accommodations for a job interview, etc.).

How You Can Help

To learn more or to donate, please contact Nick Accordino, Senior Development Officer, at (315) 792-3939 or naaccord@utica.edu
