Why Utica College
Utica College's business economics program gives students a strong foundation in economics and the skills to put economic concepts and principles to work in day-to-day decision making at a managerial level. Part of UC's Business and Economics department, the business economics major offers integrated, hands-on learning across a variety of disciplines within the department, with excellent facilities - including a full-featured trading room - and opportunities for internships.

What You'll Learn
The business economics and finance major offers a concentration in finance. The major is centered around a thorough understanding of economics and is supplemented by courses in accounting, finance, and management. Students practice in investment skills through the application of finance theory in managing portfolios funded by real dollars. Managerial economics, research methods in economics, and an internship provide the link between economic theory and business application.
