About the Conference
Student Conference for Research, Professional Activities, and Creative Arts (formerly known as Student Research Day) is held every Spring Semester to celebrate the hard working students of Utica College and to allow for students to share the details of the projects they have spent the last year developing and executing. Participation is open to all undergraduate and graduate students with an original project and presentations can be of either the oral or poster variety.
This year, the Student Conference for Research, Professional Activities, and Creative Arts will be held in a virtual format from Wednesday April 28 - Friday May 7, 2021. See below for this year's Call for Abstracts:

The Utica College Student Conference will look a little different this year. We wanted to make sure students had an opportunity to present their hard work after missing that opportunity last spring.
This will be a virtual celebration of research, professional activities, and creative arts that will begin with a virtual informal kick off ceremony on the afternoon of Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at 2:00 PM.
Students will be asked to record a 10 minute presentation that will be uploaded to the Student Conference Engage Shell beginning that Wednesday April 28 and continuing until Friday May 7 (last day of classes). The UC community will have opportunities to view the presentation and leave comments in discussion forums during that time (and beyond).
This year the submission process involves filling out an online form - please go here to fill out the information in Google Forms (https://goo.gl/forms/
Please Note: Changes to this year’s event
All presentations (poster or otherwise) will be recorded videos limited to approximately 10 minutes. These can be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org and uploaded to the Student Conference Engage Shell beginning Wednesday April 28 until Friday May 7. Each uploaded presentation will be grouped into sessions with discussions forums available to ask questions, and leave feedback/comments.
In an effort to streamline the process this year, submitted abstracts will be considered accepted with confirmation of the research advisor. Abstracts will be accepted until Friday April 30 with the last video uploads happening Friday May 7.
- The first abstract submission deadline: Monday, April 26, 2021 (for videos wishing to be uploaded by Wednesday April 28)
- Abstracts will be continued to be accepted up until Friday, April 30th, 2020 (final deadline for abstract submission)
- Presentation Video Upload: Wednesday, April 28th to Friday, May 7th
