Spanish Immersion in Ecuador
Please Note: The 2020 Spanish Immersion Program in Ecuador has been canceled due to the COVID-19 global pandemic. We apologize for any inconvenience.
During your 15 days in Ecuador, you will be immersed in the Spanish language and culture of your host family and the surrounding community. Every morning you'll attend Spanish language classes at the Andean Global Studies Center in Quito, and in the afternoons you’ll take excursions in and around Quito to practice speaking Spanish and learn about the culture, guided by retired Spanish Professor Linda Zee. New this year is the weekend trip to Gaia Lodge on the Amazon, featuring a river tour, bird watching, hiking in the primary forest and visits to the home of an indigenous family and an animal rescue center. By the time you leave, you'll have earned three credits of Spanish!
