The Course Announcements is a special type of "Forum" that allows you to post public announcements for your course. New announcements will display to students on the "Dashbaord" when they login to Engage. A notice will also be forwarded by course email if their account is set up to receive notifications.
Hint: Announcements will not be carried forward from term to term, so it may be worth saving drafts that can be easily pasted into your new course.
Use the Announcements Forum to post important updates to your students.
Hint: The notification system described above will only work for enrolled students, so wait to post announcements until your new students enroll (one business day before the actual term start - usually a Friday).
