The K. Della Ferguson Womyn’s Resource Center
The K. Della Ferguson Womyn's Resource Center was established in 1990 in conjunction with the Midlife and Older Women's Center. The mission of the Center is the empowerment and growth of all womyn through education and mutual support. The Center addresses the wide range of issues that womyn of all ages, ethnicities, religious beliefs, and lifestyles face on a daily basis. The Center also addresses issues of social justice that affect not only womyn, but other genders and children as well.
Since its inception, the K. Della Ferguson Womyn's Resource Center initiated programs in a variety of areas including womyn's health issues, sexual education, political issues, and programming for Womyn's Herstory Month. We continue our tradition each academic year by providing programs dealing with issues including sexual and domestic violence, international womyn, sexual exploitation and trafficking, reproductive choice, self-image, gendered socialization, racism and other issues womyn of color and womyn of varied ethnicities are confronting. We always welcome new ideas about programming and encourage people to volunteer for our events, programs, and activities.
