    Biography

I have my B.A. in Biology from Drew University, which is a small liberal arts college in northern New Jersey. My first scientific publication was in collaboration with my faculty advisor at Drew, Dr. Sara Webb. After graduating from college, I worked for several years as a research assistant, first in a limnology lab, then in a microbiology lab. I then entered graduate school at SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (SUNY-ESF) in Syracuse, where I obtained my Ph.D. in Ecology.

Opportunities for Student Research and Collaboration

I study a variety of topics that share botany as a common theme. I love engaging in interdisciplinary research with scientists at all career stages and in many different fields of study. I welcome motivated students to join me in plant-focused research. Research activities may include summer field work, greenhouse experiments, and data analysis using spreadsheets, statistical software, and GIS. For up to date information about my current research projects, please visit my website.
