Biography
I have my B.A. in Biology from Drew University, which is a small liberal arts college in northern New Jersey. My first scientific publication was in collaboration with my faculty advisor at Drew, Dr. Sara Webb. After graduating from college, I worked for several years as a research assistant, first in a limnology lab, then in a microbiology lab. I then entered graduate school at SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry (SUNY-ESF) in Syracuse, where I obtained my Ph.D. in Ecology.
Opportunities for Student Research and Collaboration
I study a variety of topics that share botany as a common theme. I love engaging in interdisciplinary research with scientists at all career stages and in many different fields of study. I welcome motivated students to join me in plant-focused research. Research activities may include summer field work, greenhouse experiments, and data analysis using spreadsheets, statistical software, and GIS.
