Utica University celebrates banner fundraising year
Alumni, friends, and University partners gave more than $4.8 million in gifts in fiscal year 2025-26
As Utica University celebrates its 80th anniversary, the University is marking another notable achievement. The University achieved one of its most successful fundraising years during its 2026 fiscal year, which concluded on May 31.
Together, alumni, friends, and University partners gave more than $4.8 million in total gifts and commitments to the University. This marks the highest annual fundraising total in the University’s history outside of a major campaign year, representing an almost 10 percent increase over last year’s fundraising total.
“This level of generosity reflects an inspiring show of confidence in the University’s mission and vision for the future,” says President Stephanie Nesbitt. “Private philanthropy provides critical support of educational excellence, allowing us to continue fulfilling our promise to deliver affordable, high-impact learning while elevating and enriching the student experience. It is an essential component in promoting the success of this institution moving forward.”
Highlights of this banner year include:
- More than $2.7 million in giving to the Fund for Student Success, a 9 percent increase over 2025-26.
- $843,291 in new gifts to scholarships, a 5 percent year-over-year increase.
- A record-breaking Give Day
Additionally, the University received its largest-ever private gift specifically in support of high-impact experiential learning, expanding support to students across all majors for academic conferences, research presentations, internships, and other hands-on opportunities.
