Dr. Rutal Mahajan Earns NVIDIA Generative AI Certification

Mahajan’s departmental colleagues touted her achievement, noting the benefits to current and future Utica University students.
Rutal Mahajan, assistant professor of computer science, earned Nvidia Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) Large Language Models (LLMs) Certification at Nvidia’s GTC AI conference in Washington, D.C.
The certification recognizes advanced expertise in LLMs and generative AI, key technologies driving the next wave of innovation. Nvidia representatives noted that very few women worldwide have earned the credential.
Mahajan’s departmental colleagues touted her achievement, noting the benefits to current and future Utica University students.
“Her success strengthens both our undergraduate and graduate computer science programs as we embrace the era of AI-driven software engineering,” says Angel Rivera, professor and director of computer science. “Students will directly benefit from her knowledge, mentorship, and industry connections — learning the skills that top employers are seeking right now.”
Mahajan earned her Ph.D. from the National Institute of Technology Surat. She has more than 14 years of teaching experience in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning.
