Live Web Event with Utica College PTs
Along with so many others on the front lines of the COVID-19 crisis, physical therapists play an integral role in both treating patients with the virus and helping them recover.

Join us Thursday evening, April 22, 2020 at 6:30 pm for a special live WebEx event featuring two Utica College PTs doing innovative work—locally and beyond—to help patients and survivors of COVID-19.
Dan Kemp, DPT, is an acute care physical therapist at Rome Memorial Hospital in Rome, New York. Kemp, a 2017 graduate of UC’s doctorate in physical therapy program, is pioneering new techniques that may improve outcomes for intubated patients.

Professor Jim Smith, DPT, recently co-authored a paper detailing the physical and mental effects COVID-19 survivors may experience after time in the ICU. This post-intensive care syndrome, writes Smith, is “the next public health crisis” surrounding the pandemic.
We look forward to highlighting these physical therapists and their groundbreaking work in Thursday's live event.
