Dominican Republic Experience
Interprofessional Education (IPE) Study Abroad Experience in the Dominican Republic
JANUARY 3-14, 2022
This unique 12-day study abroad experience is hosted by the Rehabilitation Centers of Dominican Republic (ADR).
While in the Dominican Republic, you will have an opportunity to work with your peers in the rehabilitation center, a children's hospital, a nursing home, sub-centers throughout the DR and at multiple orphanages. You will work with children from 0-21 years of age and some adults by providing educational sessions in content related to the occupational therapy practice.
This once-in-a-lifetime experience allows you to conduct field work in a global setting, have an interprofessional experience, learn about a new culture and to provide yourself with a more diverse context of practice in your chosen profession.
