Lavender Graduation

This will be UC's second Lavender Graduation, but the program has a long history in the US. Lavender Graduation was created by Dr. Ronni Sanlo, a Jewish Lesbian who was denied the opportunity to see her children graduate because of her sexual orientation. The program exists today to recognize and celebrate students in the LGBTQIA+ community and their allies as they complete their college careers.

All Lavender Graduates (to their comfort level) will receive rainbow graduation cords, and be recognized at the ceremony. The ceremony will happen virtually via zoom on May 8th at 2:30 PM.
