This conversation attempts to better understand the people behind the work and how their professional practice and differences in their respective backgrounds informs their approach to the work they do.

As we continue our ongoing campus conversations to create a better, more equitable, society, the School of Business and Justice Studies, Office for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and Center for Career and Professional Development presented a live forum on September 13 titled We the People 2: Persistent Uprising and the Juxtaposition of the people, the work, and people who are likely to experience the practice and enforcement of the law.

The discussion looks at the roles of police and law enforcement professionals from multiple perspectives that include those working within the law enforcement and justice system, justice studies educators, and students. This conversation attempts to better understand the people behind the work and how their professional practice and differences in their respective backgrounds informs their approach to the work they do.

The WebEx Forum Discussion is led by:

  • Dr. Anthony Baird, Vice President for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (Faculty Segment Moderator)
  • Halina Lotyczewski, Executive Director for the Center for Career and Professional Development (Practitioner Segment Moderator)
  • Alane Varga, Dean of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (Student Segment Moderator)
