Utica University Campus Community Celebrates Opening of Center for Faculty Excellence

This new space will allow faculty to find support in the three main areas of their profession: teaching, scholarship, and service.

A new year calls for new opportunities!
On January 17, President Todd Pfannestiel, Provost Stephanie Nesbitt, and Dean of the Division of Faculty Excellence Gary Leising were joined by colleagues and members of the Utica University campus community to celebrate the opening of the Center for Faculty Excellence.
Located in White Hall 126, this new space will allow faculty to find support in the three main areas of their profession: teaching, scholarship, and service.

The Center for Faculty Excellence will host workshops, roundtable discussions, individual consultations, ongoing seminars, and informal discussions, all of which will be the result of faculty input. It will also give faculty a place to connect, collaborate, and create community.
“I'm excited about the new Center for Faculty Excellence as a place where our faculty can come together as an intellectual community, where faculty can further their pedagogical and scholarly interests for the good of the University and, most importantly, of our students,” said Dean Gary Leising.
