Indigenous Foodways: Blending Past, Present, and Future for Posterity

Join Professor of Anthropology Helen Blouet for a lecture in honor of Native American Heritage Month
While Indigenous or Native American communities have been gravely impacted by past and present colonial societies and cultures, they have constantly pushed back and resisted oppression and violence in a variety of ways. One such movement centers around Indigenous foodways education. In this presentation, come and explore how Indigenous foodways are being advanced for the benefit of communities in the United States, and around the world. We’ll investigate how the movement is about so much more than food.
This event is also being held virtually via Zoom. Please click here to register online to attend the virtual lecture.
