DEI Book Club Discussion

Join the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Collaborative for the next meeting of its year-long Book Club!
The DEI Book Club will be discussing the first chapter of Cristina Henríquez's The Book of Unknown Americans, a novel that follows the Rivera family as they emigrate from Mexico to Delaware looking for a fresh start.
Copies are available in the Utica College library, our local community libraries, in the UC bookstore with a 10% discount, and at the New Hartford Barnes and Noble with a 20% discount (with your UC ID). Here are some resources as you begin the book: a reading guide and some really informative and fun TED Talks.
The Book Club is open to all community members, even people who haven't started the book!
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, this book club meeting will be held virtually. Email DEI Program Manager Meghan Jordan at mejordan@utica.edu to learn more and to receive the Zoom link.
