The Utica University Department of Facilities Management is responsible for the maintenance and operation of the buildings and grounds of all University buildings, grounds, athletic fields, vehicles, utilities infrastructure.
Our goal is to ensure a safe, reliable, and efficient campus environment for students, faculty, staff and visitors.
Our staff provides custodial services, vehicle scheduling, event set-ups for campus functions, pool operation and 24/7 emergency facilities related services in concert with Campus Safety. The members include electrician, boiler and HVAC technician, mason, painter, vehicle mechanics, general maintenance technicians, custodial staff, groundskeepers, and additional special services.

A joint project between Burrstone Energy Center, Utica University, and St. Luke's Health Care was initiated in Fall 2007, and construction of the combined heat and power facility was completed and operational in August of 2009. The CHP Facility will provide approximately 70% of the electricity consumed on campus. The remaining 30% will be purchased from National Grid.
