Description
GreenFILE is a research database focusing on the relationship between human beings and the environment, with well-researched but accessible information on topics ranging from global warming to recycling to alternate fuel sources and beyond. Comprised of scholarly and general interest titles, as well as government documents and reports, GreenFILE offers a perspective on the positive and negative ways humans affect the ecology.

Multidisciplinary in nature, GreenFILE draws on the connections between the environment and a variety of disciplines, including: agriculture, education, law, health and technology. Topics covered by GreenFILE include:

  • Global climate change
  • Green building
  • Pollution
  • Sustainable agriculture
  • Renewable energy
  • Recycling

Full text content is provided through freely available Open Access journal and government publications.

GreenFILE is provided free to academic subscribers. Current UC students, faculty and staff may access GreenFILE through UC Library.

GreenFILE is also freely available to the general public at http://www.greeninfoonline.com/. Current UC students, faculty and staff are encouraged to use GreenFILE through UC Library as more full text options may be available.
