Utica, NY (11/07/2012) - Join the Utica College community in honoring American veterans that have protected our country at a special Veterans Day Concert on Sunday, Nov. 11 at 7 p.m. in the Clark Athletic Center.

The program will feature performances by the Utica College Band, Utica College Choir, and the Utica Maennerchor. Musical performances will feature songs such as “The Battle Hymn of the Republic,” “America the Beautiful” and “Salute to America’s Finest.” The concert band is led by Mike Dimeo, while the choir and Utica Maennerchor are conducted by Dave Kolb.

Special groups attending include area veterans, members of the Utica College ROTC program, the Syracuse Air Force ROTC program, and the Notre Dame High School NJROTC cadets.

The concert is free and open to the public, but donations will be accepted for veterans groups.  Non-perishable food items will be collected and donated to the Feed Our Vets program. Monetary donations will benefit the Fischer House program for families of veterans.
