Moodle Transition Message

Transition to Moodle Online Learning System

A Message to UC Faculty

Dear Colleague,

This information is directed to all faculty who intend to teach an on-ground course with an accompanying online shell in the Fall 2014 semester.

As you know, the College is moving from Angel to Moodle in the Summer of 2014 and all Fall 2014 courses will have Moodle shells instead of Angel shells. The process of moving shells over, or creating new ones, will begin in February 2014. So, if you think you might be teaching an on-ground course with an online shell in Fall 2014 you need to review the Moodle Conversion memo and Conversion Calendar.

If you will be teaching a fully online course in the Fall of 2014, your program director will be in touch with you soon about that transition.

In order to use Moodle for an accompanying shell to an on-ground course, you will need to opt in and begin the process of conversion by February 15th, 2014, and have completed the course construction and signed off on the new shell by July 15th, 2014. Courses that are not on the list by February 15th will be added to the list in the order received and will be worked on as time permits. The College cannot guarantee that a course not on the list by February 15th will be ready for Fall 2014.

Instructions on how to sign up for a conversion are contained in the documents linked to this page. Any questions should be directed to:
