Utica, NY (10/27/2005) -

Throughout the month of November, Partners Trust Bank will again hold its collaborative program aimed at feeding the area’s hungry – Partners Against Hunger - to benefit the Community Food Bank.

And this year, the Utica College men’s ice hockey team has joined in the giving spirit. Non-perishable food items will be collected at the November 4th and 5th Utica College hockey team’s home games and the Friday, November 4th game versus Hobart has been designated as Partners Against Hunger night. Free tickets will be offered to the November 4th game whenever a fan makes a food donation. Also, at that same game, Partners Trust Bank will donate a dollar per pound of food collected that evening to the Community Food Bank.

“By supporting Partners Against Hunger, area residents can help the Community Food Bank in its grassroots effort to provide food to the nearly 1,500 people that the organization serves each month at its Bleecker Street pantry,” said Steve Mahler, Vice President, Marketing & Public Relations, Partners Trust Bank. “We encourage people to log on to the website, get out to the hockey game on November 4th and support this program however they can.”

A designated website – www.partnersagainsthunger.com - has been established to make it easy for people to donate to the cause and find out details of the program. Non-perishable food items can also be donated at each of the 15 Partners Trust Bank branches in the Utica area.

“Our customers already know Partners Trust as the bank they can trust. We also want them to know that we are a community partner they can count on,” Mahler added.

Partners Against Hunger is also running in Binghamton and Syracuse throughout the month of November with local partners in those markets.
