Utica, NY (10/16/2013) - Homecoming is a very important occasion at Utica College, particularly for fraternities and sororities. The Omicron Phi Chapter of Alpha Chi Rho will hold a special ceremony in recognition of being formally recognized as a Colony by the National Fraternity of Alpha Chi Rho and the Inter-Greek Council of Utica College. The Colony will hold a formal colony pinning ceremony on Saturday, Oct. 19, at 10 a.m. during the college’s homecoming weekend. This event, which will take place in Macfarlane Auditorium in DePerno Hall, marks an historic point in the fraternity’s 47-year history, commemorating the rebirth of the Omicron Phi Chapter after nearly a decade of inactivity.
As an AXP Colony, Omicron Phi will work to rebuilding the Chapter along with the process of developing a new policy and procedures in order to be a fully recognized Chapter.
