Foothills Weaving, Fiber Arts Guild to Exhibit at UC
Juried Members Exhibit Opens March 7

Exhibit features wide variety of fiber art

Utica, NY (03/03/2011) - The Foothills Weaving and Fiber Arts Guild will hold its bi-annual juried members exhibit next month at Utica College’s Edith Langley Barrett Fine Art Gallery.The artists will be on hand for the opening reception of the exhibit on Monday, March 7 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. The exhibit will be open through April 1, and can be viewed Monday through Friday from 1 to 5 p.m., and on Saturdays from noon to 3 p.m. It will be closed March 14-18 for spring break.
The exhibit features a wide variety of fiber art including works of spun fibers, woven yardage and constructed garments, panels and quilts, small and miniature needlework art, exploration designs and works in traditional and non-traditional materials.
The Foothills Weaving and Fiber Arts Guild promotes interest in spinning, weaving and fiber arts as well as the development of skills in those arts through programs and workshops throughout Upstate and Central New York. Members reside and work in studios all across Central New York and meet monthly in Clinton.
