UC to Host Haunted House

Student Groups Organize Fundraiser for Food Bank

Utica, NY (10/28/2008) - Each year, Utica College organizations come together to host a haunted house on campus. The event is held for the campus and the wider community. The haunted house is a tradition at UC and this year the event is sponsored by the Office of Residence Life, The Residence Hall Association, WPNR 90.7 FM and the Student Senate.

The haunted house will open its doors on Thursday, Oct. 30 from 8 p.m. until midnight at the Harold T. Clark Athletic Center. The event is free and open to the public, but cash and canned food donations will be accepted for the Utica Food Bank at the event. And for those wishing to donate $5 or more, a special express line will be available.

Student volunteers will be taking the “haunt” to a scary new level this year and the event hopes to exceed last year’s attendance of over 500 people. The event is a great way for UC students to give back to the community they call home and have fun at the same time.
