Utica, NY (01/10/2007) - Utica College is breaking out its megaphone and pom-poms.

The Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) has chosen Utica College as a flagship location, one of only two in New York state to receive this distinction.

UCA, a national organization based in Memphis, Tenn., trained more than 180,000 cheerleaders at 276 locations across the U.S. last year. The UCA partners with colleges and universities throughout New York state, offering three- and four-day camps for cheerleading and dance.

Utica College was chosen based on its exceptional service along with its superior housing, food, and facilities.

“This designation lets potential campers, their families, and cheer advisors know that they can expect an exceptional experience at Utica College,” said Joni Pulliam, executive director of corporate and professional programs.

The college will offer both cheer and dance camps in partnership with the UCA, July 17 – 20. For more information, contact Utica College’s office of corporate and professional programs at (315) 792-3344.
