2017 Student Summer Internships


This summer, 36 Young Scholars Liberty Partnerships Program students participated in internships at various locations in and around Utica. The Macartney Family Foundation and Indium Corporation collaborated with YS to grant professional internships to ten graduated seniors. Also, the proceeds from this year's Mayor's Gala were designated to YS, allowing 26 underclassmen to work at summer internships.

The internship sites include Meyda Lighting, A&P Master Images, Refugee Center, Mohawk Vally Latino Association (MVLA), City Hall - Mayor's Office, YWCA, Stanley, Utica Roasting, Sculpture Space, and the Central Association for the Blind & Visually Impaired (CABVI), United Way, First Source, Abraham House, The Bird's Nest, Governor Cuomo's Office, Children's Museum, Sweet Escapes, Utica College Graduate Studies Office, Christine's Cookies, Midtown Utica Community Center, Utica Public Library, Feed Our Vets, Resource Center for Independent Living (RCIL), and Center for Family Life & Recovery (CFLR).
