Young Scholars Graduate Leadership Development Program
On November 15, 2018, the Young Scholars Graduate Leadership Development Program was recognized by The Genesis Group as an outstanding College Program! This is our program's second such recognition by The Genesis Group. Please read about this honor here!
Launched in January 2018, the goal of the Young Scholars Graduate Leadership Development Program is to offer graduates of YSLPP, who are enrolled in colleges near and far, or who are in the workforce, a defined program which will help them to advance their personal, professional, and community leadership skills. Graduates of this 10-month program will receive the Young Scholars Advanced Leadership Certificate at Utica University. We are grateful for our partnerships with The Community Foundation of Herkimer & Oneida Counties, Inc., RD Advisory Group, and Leadership Mohawk Valley.

- Our 4th GLDP cohort began on September 18, 2019. Eleven Young Scholars alumni, representing Utica University, MVCC, Colgate University, and the workforce, participated in this cohort. Graduates received their certificates of Advanced Leadership in a ceremony at Symeon's Greek Restaurant on December 11, 2019.
- On October 4, 2018, the third cohort of the Young Scholars Graduate Leadership Development Program met for their first meeting. 22 students from four local colleges and the workforce comprise this class of students. They received their Advanced Leadership Certificates on May 15, 2019 in a graduation ceremony at Utica University.
- On June 28, 2018, 26 YSLPP Alumni from the summer cohort of the Graduate Leadership Development Program received their Advanced Leadership Certificates from YSLPP. This group brought together YSLPP alumni who attend, or in some cases, have graduated from: Cazenovia College, Clark Atlanta University, Cornell University, Howard University, Hudson Valley CC, Ithaca College, Le Moyne College, Mount Holyoke College, Mohawk Valley Community College, Pratt Institute- Brooklyn, Rochester Institute of Technology, St John Fisher College, SUNY Albany, SUNY Buffalo, SUNY Buffalo State, SUNY Polytechnic Institute, Syracuse University, and Utica University.
- The Winter 2018 Cohort brought together YSLPP graduates from Utica University, Hamilton College, SUNY Polytechnic Institute, and Mohawk Valley Community College. On May 30, 2018, the Young Scholars Graduate Leadership Development Program graduated our first cohort.
