New for Fall 2014, Microsoft Office is now available free for UC students. Each student is eligible to install Office on their computer (Windows 7, Windows 8, or Mac OS). Start at http://software.utica.edu and proceed with the free checkout of Office 365.

Note: This software is listed as a 12 month subscription. As long as you continue to be a UC student it will renew annually.
Faculty and Staff:
UC Employees are eligible to participate in the Microsoft Home Use Program. For about $10 you'll be able to download one copy of Office (the newest available version). These Instructions will direct you to Microsoft's website (UC login required to view the instructions).
You've probably noticed that Word completes certain phrases, such as "Best Wishes," before you've finished typing. You can customize this list so that Word completes only the phrases you define. Select AutoCorrect Options from the Tools menu, then go to the AutoText tab. Delete any items you don't want to keep, then add names and phrases that you type often, such as your name, company, or address
