Academics at Utica College

Academic Affairs Unit Assessment

The Academic Affairs Units consist of the following:

Frank E. Gannett Memorial Library,
Office of the Registrar
International Education,
Office of Graduate Studies,
E Barrett Art Gallery,
Young Scholars Liberty Partnership Program, and
Office of Academic Assessment.

Academic Affairs Units have the individual responsibility to identify measures that meet the annual Unit Goals.  Various measures are used for this assessment.

Unit goals are annually identified in collaboration with the  Associate Provost. Goals are identified in the fall of each academic year.  The assessment occurs as the goal warrants.

Collecting the data and sharing the results

All results are collected and documented in the Unit's annual report to the Provost's Office.

 Closing the Loop

The Associate Provost conferences with each Unit and actions are identified as needed.  The results are then used as part of the Academic Affairs Divisional Report.  They also may be use for shaping the Academic Affairs annual goals.

 Linked to Budget

Each Unit is responsible for documenting justification for each line request.  Where appropriate, assessment results are used for this documented justification.

 Sustaining the Process

This process is sustained and archived by the Associate Provost in collaboration, as needed, with the Office of Academic Assessment.
