How does an appeal work?
An appeal provides you with the opportunity to have a decision about your responsibility in an incident or the sanction imposed reviewed by a hearing officer/board. In order to appeal a decision made by a hearing officer or board, you must indicate that you wish to appeal within 72 business hours and provide a written statement with information about why you are appealing. If both the sanction form and the written statement are not turned in by the specified due date (72 business hours from when you receive your sanction notice) your lose your right to appeal. For more information, see the section on appeals.
