Q: How do I find Utica College?
Q: When my son/daughter first arrives on campus, where can he/she go for help?
A: First of all, congratulations... and welcome to the UC community!
You should be receiving (or perhaps have already received) information about your son/daughter's residence hall assignment. (This will come via the U.S. mail and electronically to your son/daughter's new UC e-mail address. For more information about UC e-mail, click here >)
When your son/daughter arrives to campus, members of Campus Safety staff will direct him/her to the building he/she has been assigned to. From there, staffers and fellow UC students will assist you in unloading your vehicle and brining your son/daughter's belongings up to his/her room, while your son/daughter "checks-in"and receives keys and other important information from the Residence Life Staff.
After you have unloaded your vehicle, you will be directed to one of the parking lots near the Residence Hall to park your vehicle. Then you will have an opportunity to set up your son/daughter's room, visit other offices to finalize any last minute details... or perhaps stop by the bookstore to pick up your first UC sweatshirt!
Be sure to check your UC materials for details about move-in day activities, as well as the schedule for the many events that will occur during the college’s Welcome Week. If you have any questions or have not received complete information by mail or e-mail, please do not hesitate to contact the Office of Residence Life.
Q: Where can I find information about campus security?
Q: My son or daughter wants to change his/her major. How is this done?
A: First, the student should speak with his or her faculty adviser. If your son or daughter has not been assigned an adviser yet or has any additional questions, he or she should contact
Academic Advising, which is located in room 109 of Hubbard Hall.
Q: My son/daughter is a distance learning student. Can I make tuition payments online?
Q: How does my son/daughter access his/her grades online?
A: Grades may be accessed online through the BannerWeb system. Here's how it works:
- Go to the secure section at http://bannerweb.utica.edu (you can also access Banner from the drop-down menu under "Academics" on the main navigation menu).
- Log in using your son/daughter's student ID number and the PIN / password he/she was issued at the beginning of the semester.*
- Navigate through the secure area until you find your son/daughter's grades. When you're finished, be sure to log out of the system.
* Note: If your son/daughter has lost or forgotten his/her password, passwords may be reset by going to http://password.utica.edu and following the on-screen instructions.
If you have any questions, contact the Computer Help Desk at (315) 792-3115 or by e-mail at helpdesk@utica.edu
