Fall Semester

Fall and winter happen to be my favorite seasons, winter being my absolute favorite. I love these seasons due to the change in temperature, I am a huge fan of cold weather as well as snow or so I thought… Utica has made me change my love for these season. I am from a small town in Westchester Country, NY, where there is a casual change in temperature and as the days go by you gradually transition into winter. Not in Utica, the weather here is bipolar… it’s fall and the temperature is fluctuating between the 70s and the 50s, it doesn’t make sense.

In my opinion, Fall happens to be one of the most difficult semesters commuting wise; especially, when it starts to snow. This is because UC doesn’t believe in snow days, it could snow up to 5ft and they’ll expect you to go to class and get there on time. Walking from your dorms to class in the snow, is one of the most tedious things to do. As a freshman, I never got use to  walking to class in the snow, I always use to slip and slid even in my snow boots. Now being a sophomore who lives in Burrstone Hall, it is going to be absolutely dreadful to walk to campus during the winter.
