UC SWIM AND DIVE TEAMS FALL AT HARTWICK

The Utica College swim and dive traveled to Hartwick College to challenge the Hawks at Moyer Pool. Both the men and women teams lost. The women's team lost 221-47, while the men's team dropped a 256-62 decision against the Hawks.

- Oneonta, NY- The Utica College swim and dive team traveled to Hartwick College Saturday to take on the Hawks at Moyer Pool. The UC women's team lost 221-47, while the men's team dropped a 256-62 decision against the Hawks.For the women, Ashley VanPatten (Schenectady, NY) won the 1-meter and 3-meter dive events and recorded 18 points for UC. Her scores were 196.75 and 203.65. Alyssa Cortese (New Hartford, NY) finished second in the women’s 100-yard freestyle and 200-yard freestyle and tallied eight points. She recorded times of 57.38 and 2:04.55.
Adrian Romanski (Maspeth, NY) finished third in the men’s 1-meter dive with a score of 162.10 and totaled three points for Utica College. Robert Mayton (Hartwick, NY) placed fourth in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 57.21 and recorded two points. Paul Cabrey (Allentown, PA) scored two points with a time of 2:27.60, good for fourth in the 200-yard backstroke.
The Pioneers are back in action Saturday as they host St. Rose College. The meet is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. at the Utica College Pool.
