A Summer Whirlwind of National Parks

During five weeks of the summer of 2012, my family and I toured the country visiting 14 of the most spectacular National Parks, mainly in the western states. We experienced dramatic changes of weather (120o in the Midwest one day, to a snowstorm in the Rockies on the next), elevation changes (below sea level to over 12,000’ above sea level), and in all cases were treated to some of the most amazing scenery on Earth. Each of the parks is unique and spectacular. If you have not had a chance to visit the West, I will present an illustrated tour of these parks from the over 2000 photographs we took along the way, from the sweltering depths of the Grand Canyon to the snowy heights of the Going-to-the-Sun Road of Glacier National park. All lectures are held in Willard Conference Room, DePerno Hall unless otherwise noted. Refreshments are served at 2:15 p.m.; lectures begin at 2:30 p.m. Call (315) 792-3059 for more information.
